In my case it goes back to my sauna project where I in the first post mentioned that as part of the deal to build the sauna my wife wanted something in return.
The day of reckoning has come and it's time to pay the piper.
My part of the deal involves digging a huge hole in the garden and filling it with approximately 30m3 of water.
So this piece of lawn with sticks dotted around for illustration...
is to be transformed into something containing one of these (use your imagination).
It's going to be a kidney shaped pool from Miamipool.
Needless to say this is going to be a heck of a project.
To make things more interesting it has to be finished before summer as otherwise it's of no use.
It's going to be a long journey before we get to wet our toes in the pool. It will involve cutting down a tree, digging a massive trench, laying drainage, digging a pump/drainage well, casting concrete slabs for the pump/filter/heating, connecting power, laying countless meters of hoses and pipes, shoveling endless amounts of gravel/sand, building a wooden deck...and a zillion other things.
This blog will document the journey with all its ups and downs.
